CoastOne Electric Press Brakes

Automec, Inc. is a Certified USA Dealer of CoastOne electric press brakes. (servo-electric) Automec handles sales and service for customers in the U.S, as they have been with their back gauge systems for the last 47 years. CoastOne electric press brakes are becoming the future of press brake technology. The technology behind the CoastOne electric press brake is the “direct-drive system,” which uses servo motors directly tied to ball screws to administer force. This capability, in turn, offers an extreme accuracy of 0.000079 inches!

By the term, “servo-electric,” it may seem hard to believe that these machines conserve more electricity than traditional hydraulic press brakes. However, CoastOne servo – electric press brakes are not running hydraulic pumps and heating fluids all day. These electric press brakes only use energy when in motion and conserve the energy otherwise.

The C series of press brakes are the smallest “fully electric,” servo-driven press brakes found in the CoastOne press brake line. The C-Series small press brakes feature 1 to 2 ball screws using a “direct drive system” to administer force. Each ball screw is capable of producing about 25 tons of force. By using these ball screws in a “direct drive system,” it makes our press brakes very affordable compared to traditional hydraulic press brakes. They’re great for companies looking to free up capacity on their larger press brakes by having a small press brake in the shop as well. For average daily use, the C9 small press brake typically consumes less than 1.5 kW. By eliminating the need for hydraulic oil, the customer benefits by eliminating the cost of expensive oil changes, spare parts, valves, and maintenance found with traditional small hydraulic press brakes.

The G-Series press brakes feature an “O-Frame,” as opposed to the “C-Frame” found in the smaller machines. The “O-Frame” deflects less than the “C-Frame” which is very useful for the higher tonnage and longer bed length machines. Due to the strategic positioning of the drives, the CoastOne G-Series press brakes come standard with an “automatic crowning feature.” Each drive independently varies the force, depending on the position of the material across the press brake bed. Many “electric” competitors do not have this ability because they are using belts and pulleys across the ram, which don’t allow the machines to “pin-point” the force of the ram. Customers will also find HUGE electricity savings compared to traditional hydraulic machines
